About The Children’s Nutritionist

Sarah is a healthcare professional, a Registered Dietitian and I specialise in paediatrics. Next to her work as a Consultant Dietitian for the NHS, she runs a private practice called 'The Children's Nutritionist'. Here she helps mums by giving them information about weaning their baby and feeding their toddler - covering food, nutrition and feeding. But what she really provides is reassurance as she is giving the parents the confidence to do what’s right for their baby.

Next to her work directly with parents she also works for brands providing nutrition consultancy and she does influencer marketing.

client goals

When I asked Sarah what success would look like for The Children’s Nutritionist she mentioned she wanted to be known as the go-to person for advice on nutrition, food and feeding little ones. Being asked to work with high profile brands as an influencer and to provide credibility. Being a sought out keynote speaker.

Some of the goals she had set herself to reach this were:

  • To grow to 25k website visitors a month to be able to run ads on the website

  • To create a passive offer with small guides

  • Focus on growing income through passive products

  • To publish 24 new blogs in 2020

  • To publish 3 new recipes each week

The Strategy behind the design

One of Sarah’s main focusses was to grow her passive income. Because of this, we made her Weaning Course the main goal of the website. We did this on the homepage by having the course as the first option in the navigation, it being the first option in the choose your path section and having its own section. And across the other pages, there were links build to the course page. The course page itself is a long-form sales page to give her audience all the information they need to buy.

As her mailing list is an integral part of selling her passive products a signup form has been placed in the footer of the website. As well as spreading her freebies across the website on her welcome from Instagram page, the resource page and the blog sidebar.

Besides this, as Sarah wanted to focus on growing her monthly website visitors I had done an audit of her SEO (as part of the website audit we started this project off with) and saw there were some opportunities here. Based on keywords research that I had done her page descriptions were updated. As well as the alt-text on her images and her blog posts were optimised for SEO.
